Declarations of the BRICS Industry Ministers Meetings
The BRICS Mechanism was set up in 2006.
With its development, the BRICS cooperation has gradually laid a solid
foundation and become more and more pragmatic in various areas. With Summits at
its top and underpinned by the Meetings of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the
Meetings of National Security Advisers and High Representatives on National
Security, the BRICS Mechanism has developed into a multi-level framework,
aiming at carrying out practical intra-BRICS cooperation in dozens of fields,
including economy and trade, finance, science and technology, agriculture,
culture, education, health, think tanks, and sister cities.
Established in 2015, the BRICS Industry
Ministers Meeting is a mechanism for regular exchanges among industrial
authorities of the BRICS countries. The BRICS industrial counterparts are the
Ministry of Economy of Brazil, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the
Russian Federation, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India and the Ministry
of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa. The Meeting is generally
held every 1-2 years. As of 2022, six Industry Ministers Meetings have been
held, focusing on the major areas of industrial cooperation with declarations
reviewed and passed.
The declarations of the previous BRICS
Industry Ministers Meetings are now compiled and released.
