Global Development Initiative Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Symposium Held in Xiamen
On April 24th, the Global Development Initiative Partnership on New
Industrial Revolution Symposium took place in Xiamen, east China’s Fujian
Province. Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information
Technology (MIIT) delivered a speech via video. Zhao Long, Governor of Fujian
Province and H.E. Dr. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Ministry of Post and
Telecommunications both attended and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony
was hosted by Xu Xiaolan, Vice Minister of MIIT, Lin Ruiliang, Vice Governor of
Fujian Province attended the ceremony and Huang Wenhui, Mayor of Xiamen made a
speech.
Co-organized by MIIT, People’s Government of Fujian Province and Xiamen
Municipal People’s Government, the symposium attracted about 150 attendees,
including officials, experts, and foreign envoys from 25 countries, and representatives
of international organizations.
At the symposium, Chair’s Statement of the Global Development Initiative
Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Symposium was released, and the
Network of Partnership on New Industrial Revolution under the Framework of
Global Development Initiative was also launched. Three seminars discussing
topics including promoting innovative and inclusive development, fostering a favorable
policy environment, and deepening international industrial cooperation took
place.
