Xiamen Tianwei Technology Co., Ltd. and Indonesian PT ANDYRANA AGUNG NUSA Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation, Jointly Building a New Ecosystem for BRICS Civilian Satellite Remote Sensing Collaboration
On April 8, Xiamen Tianwei Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter “Tianwei Technology”) and Indonesian PT ANDYRANA AGUNG NUSA (AAN) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Xiamen, facilitated and supported by BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center (BPIC). The two parties will deepen collaboration in remote sensing technology, smart agriculture, and other fields to jointly explore markets in BRICS and BRICS Plus countries.
Tianwei Technology is the only enterprise in Fujian Province that has obtained orbital slots resources approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and owns independently developed commercial remote sensing satellites. Its core business covers four sectors: customized urban satellites, low-orbit microsatellite manufacturing, aerospace remote sensing big data services, and space science education.
Under the agreement, the two sides will collaborate on the “Tianwei Satellite Constellation Project,” “Satellite Factory Project,” and “Remote Sensing Satellite Data Application Project.” Relying on Tianwei Technology’s four successfully launched remote sensing satellites and its full-industry-chain technical expertise, the partnership will establish a satellite network covering Indonesia and its surrounding areas to provide high-precision data support for communications, agricultural monitoring, and disaster warning. Additionally, the companies will establish a satellite manufacturing factory in Indonesia to promote technology transfer and localized production, advancing Indonesia’s aerospace development and fostering its remote sensing satellite ecosystem.
This signing marks another achievement of BPIC in supporting local enterprises’ global expansion and signifies a substantive breakthrough in civilian satellite technology collaboration among BRICS and BRICS Plus nations. In recent years, BPIC has aligned with “national priorities, local capabilities, and BRICS aspirations,” refining project management mechanisms, nurturing a cohort of exemplary international cooperation projects, and driving industrial collaboration among BRICS and BRICS Plus countries. To date, BPIC has facilitated the overseas expansion of new-quality productivity leading enterprises, including XGMA International, Xiamen Yangsen NC Equipment, Yealink, Kehua Digital Energy, King Long Motor Group, Longking Environmental Protection, Vangenes, Stone City Group, and Sucheon Technology, yielding fruitful outcomes with BRICS partners. BPIC will strengthen service guarantees, optimize resource allocation, and accelerate the implementation of more high-quality projects, injecting fresh momentum into deepening cooperation among BRICS and BRICS Plus nations.
