On December 15, China Practice Training Series of 2024 United Nations Sustainable Development —Workshop on New Industrialization and New Quality Productive Forces successfully concluded in Xiamen.
This workshop is a foreign aid training program organized by the Chinese government for the permanent missions to the United Nations of members of the Group of Friends of the?Global Development Initiative (GDI), aimed at promoting the Global Development Initiative and exchanging experiences in governance. With the theme of new industrialization and new quality productive forces, the workshop aims to accelerate the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and advance the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The course lasted for 7 days and invited 31 high-level diplomats from 29 countries. During the period, the participants visited the space exhibition hall, the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CBAS), Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital Xiamen University, China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries and other cutting-edge scientific research institutions and enterprises.
The curriculum design closely aligned with the core concepts of new quality productive forces and new industrialization, establishing a systematic and practical learning platform through diversified formats such as theoretical lectures, project roadshows, and field visits. The professionalism, foresight, and practical relevance of the workshop received unanimous recognition from participating diplomats.
