On August 10, the China Practice Training Series of UN Sustainable Development: Workshop on High-Quality Development of Marine Economy concluded in Xiamen, with 23 ministerial- and director-general/divison-level participants from 17 countries, including Nigeria, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Uganda, Kenya and Uruguay. Zhuang Rongliang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Xiamen; Liu Yang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Zhang Quan, Director General of Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office, and Jiang Qingsheng, Executive Deputy Director General of BPIC, attended the closing ceremony.

The workshop was designed and approved as a project by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) and organized by the Global Development Promotion Center. Focusing on the Global Development Initiative (GDI), marine economy development, marine science and technology innovation, and ecological governance of coastal areas， it featured lectures and study visits in Beijing and Xiamen.
