On June 30, a delegation from Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. visited BPIC. At the BRICS Industrial Cooperation and Go-Global Comprehensive Service Hub (the Comprehensive Service Hub), the delegation held a flue gas treatment technical exchange and project matchmaking session with BPIC and Fujian Longking Desulfurization and Denitrification Engineering Co., Ltd. (Fujian Longking).

Ke Haitao, Deputy Director General of BPIC, stated that it was hoped to leverage the platform strengths of BPIC and the Comprehensive Service Hub to offer connections and support to Eskom in areas including new type energy storage, smart power grid development and energy transition.
Verby, Senior Manager of Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd., noted that the South African Government has required power plants to meet clean energy targets by 2030. This visit is intended not only to satisfy Eskom’s internal compliance requirements, but also to deliver solid technical support for South Africa’s efforts to integrate coal fired power into its clean energy system.

Zhang Yuan, Chairman of Fujian Longking, said that the company would take advantage of the international cooperation bridge built by the Comprehensive Service Hub and give full play to its technological strengths in flue gas treatment, so as to jointly promote wider application of green technologies across BRICS and “BRICS+” markets.
