Largest in Nearly Five Years: Empowered by BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, 22 Brazilian Stone Companies Debut at Xiamen International Stone Fair
At the 2026 China Xiamen International Stone Fair held from March 16 to 19, ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), as a strategic partner of the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, collaborated with the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) to facilitate the participation of 22 top-tier Brazilian stone enterprises. This marks the largest lineup of Brazilian stone companies exhibiting in China in nearly five years.
During the event, the Brazilian delegation set up a 555-square-meter National Pavilion in Hall A5 of the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center (XICEC), showcasing 1,200 varieties of natural stone. Through specialized promotional events, the pavilion comprehensively demonstrated the diversity and application potential of Brazilian natural stone.
Victor Queiroz, General Manager of the Asia-Pacific Office at the ApexBrasil, stated that as the second-largest export destination for the Brazilian stone industry, the Chinese market holds immense strategic significance. In 2025, China imported USD 260 million worth of natural stone from Brazil, accounting for 17.5% of the industry's total exports. Looking ahead, Brazilian enterprises will continue to expand their exhibition scale in China, deepen matchmaking and cooperation with core markets, and align with China's market demands and design capabilities to deliver higher-quality product experiences for global consumers.
In recent years, the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center has consistently attached great importance to exchanges and interactions with Brazil across various fields. The BPIC has organized industrial matchmaking conferences in Rio de Janeiro and other locations, facilitated the signing of a USD 500 million iron ore trade cooperation agreement with Brazil, and invited delegations of Brazilian healthcare executives to China for project matchmaking, contributing positive strength to deepening China-Brazil friendship. Moving forward, the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center will continue to leverage its platform advantages, reinforce practical cooperation and matchmaking with BRICS countries including Brazil in various fields, and drive "Greater BRICS cooperation" to achieve substantive and solid progress.
