On 21 March, the 2024 BRICS Science, Technology & Innovation Youth Dialogue was held online and offline in Sanya, Hainan. Themed “Gathering the Wisdom of Youth to Promote Innovation and Development", the dialogue consisted of opening remarks, keynote speeches, and round-table discussions. It was attended by representatives of youth councils and international organisations from more than 10 countries including China, Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, and Iran, as well as about 40 science experts and heads of innovative enterprises.

The participants conducted extensive and in-depth discussions on action plans and prospects in the field of science, technology and innovation among the youth in BRICS countries and exchanged views on their empowerment projects and international cooperation projects that promote youth participation in science, technology and innovation. Representatives unanimously agree on the significance of strengthening mutual learning among BRICS youth in the field of science and technology, of promoting relevant policies and exchanges of talents, and of contributing to new momentum for development.
