“Report on BRICS Countries 2023” Released in Xiamen

On the afternoon of November 2, parallel session 1 of  the Global South Think Tanks Dialogue was successfully held in Xiamen under the theme "Strengthening the BRICS Cooperation Mechanisms to Unleash the Potential South-South Cooperation." The "Report on BRICS Countries 2023 " (from now on referred to as "the Report") was officially released.




In order to strengthen the country studies under the perspective of BRICS cooperation, the Office of Xiamen Leading Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center released the 2022 BPIC Think Tank Cooperation Alliance’s Topic "Report on BRICS Countries 2023", which was undertaken by the College of International Relations of Huaqiao University and released the results of the topic at this forum. 


The Report mainly focuses on analyzing the new situation and development of Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa in 2023 and the cooperation under the BRICS framework. It focuses on the construction of BPIC and explores and researches the topics of developing BRICS practical cooperation and promoting the development of BRICS countries, taking into account Xiamen's and even Fujian's unique advantages in terms of policy support, industrial foundation, business, and humanistic environment, and so on. The completion of the Report was supported and contributed by scholars from Russia, India and other BRICS countries.




At the forum, more than 100 think tank scholars from Brazil, Russia, India, and other countries, as well as domestic universities and research institutes, witnessed the release of the Report and conducted thematic discussions around the forum theme.
