7th BRICS Industry Ministers Meeting held via video conference

On August 7, the 7th BRICS Industry Ministers Meeting was held by video. The meeting centers on promoting the upgrading of manufacturing industry and establishing a sustainable industrial chain and supply chain.
China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong attended the meeting and made a speech.
The meeting was chaired by Ebrahim Patel, Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition of South African, the 2023 BRICS Presidency, and attended by the heads of industrial authorities from China, Brazil, Russia, India and other BRICS countries. The Conference adopted the Joint Declaration of the 7th Meeting of BRICS Ministers of Industry, reached important consensus on topics such as digital transformation, cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises, and the enhancement of industrial chain and supply chain resilience. The Meeting further defined the goals and visions of cooperation in the areas of policy exchange, personnel training and project development, and appreciated the work of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center(or BPIC)in Xiamen, the Chinese side is welcome to continue to organize a series of activities such as the BRICS Partnership for a New Industrial Revolution Forum, competitions and exhibitions.
