On the morning of September 9, the Sixth "the Belt and Road" Development Forum was conducted in Xiamen. This forum is one of the most significant forum activities of the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), focusing on the "10th Anniversary Review of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Opportunities and Challenges of High-Quality Development" to engage in in-depth exchanges and discussions. During the forum, the White Paper on Investment and Mergers and Acquisitions by Chinese Enterprises in BRICS Countries (henceforth referred to as the White Paper) was published, as well as a seminar on development cooperation in BRICS countries.

According to the introduction, the White Paper is a key topic of the Office of Xiamen Leading Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center and conducted by Xiamen National Accounting Institute, with the objective of exploring in depth the profiles of Chinese enterprises' investment and M&A in the BRICS countries and their influencing factors in order to provide Chinese enterprises with guidance on how to better enter the BRICS countries.
