On August 4, the 2023 First Working Conference of SAXM/TC2 was successfully held.

To implement the deployment of the municipal Party committee and municipal government, and to facilitate the development of the BPIC, the Market and Quality Supervision Commission of Xiamen Municipality approved the establishment of SAXM/TC2, with BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation as the secretariat.

At the Conference, the Market and Quality Supervision Commission read out the document approving the establishment of SAXM/TC2, awarded a license to its secretariat, and issued appointment letters to its 35 members.

SAXM/TC2 is committed to building a working mechanism and a platform for mutual recognition of BRICS skills standards. In the future, it will listen more to emerging markets and developing countries and promote their standardization of technology and skills through integrating educational, training, talent, technical and product resources among BRICS countries. Therefore, Chinese enterprises and vocational colleges could “go global” more easily, truly establishing international Chinese brands and Xiamen brands.
